Next came sea otters, sea lions, and of course whales. As an extra, we also saw Puffins. A great two hours with a wonderful guide. We highly recommend this excursion and this company.

We finished a cruise in Sitka and had less than a day in town. This tour fit the bill because we really wanted to see these sights before leaving. The owners worked with us about pickup originally scheduled to be picked up at port, but we arrived earlier than expected. She really made the tour enjoyable and shared her love of Sitka with us. This was a wonderful tour and birthday celebration, most especially due to our amazing guide, Lindsay!! As a native of Sitka, she knows every inch of this beautiful place and shared her joyful knowledge with us along the way. I highly recommend the premium tour. There were only 7 of us in a comfortable small van. You will see unforgettable sights!! Our group of six had the best time on our Sitka Wildlife Tour. Surrounded by more mountains and glaciers than anywhere else in Alaska, every direction has a spectacular view. Opt to take a scenic flight, go for a glacier walk or try ice climbing. Drive through Copper River Valley en route to Tangle Lakes, checking out the fishwheels used for salmon along the way.

Camp under the big sky in the remote Alaskan wilderness. Camp just outside the park for a perfect jumping off point to explore Denali. Opt to get closer to nature with hikes, rafting or a scenic flight. Your opportunity to meet your CEO and fellow travellers, and learn more about your tour. Travel around the coast of the Kenai Peninsula, where glaciers tumble down from the mountains towards the ocean. Keep an eye out for beluga whales playing out at sea while travelling along the Turnagain Arm, or volcanoes across the Cook Inlet. While in Homer, keep a look out for some of the local wildlife including bald eagles, sandhill cranes, moose and shorebirds, to name a few.

Spend free time exploring nearby bays, or hiking and spotting some of the area's amazing wildlife. Hop on a water taxi and head to Kackhemak Bay. Spend some time hiking the trails, exploring the cove or trying to spot some of the animals that stop to visit the bay like sea otters and seals.

Explore Kachemak Bay State Park on an exciting guided hike. Leave Homer in the morning and arrive at the tip of the Kenai Peninsula where the ice age still lingers. Spend the day exploring this site to discover the fjords, their history, science and remote splendor. Soak in the gorgeous coastline views from the comfort of a boat. Keep your eyes peeled for a variety of whales orca, humpback, fin and minke and marvel at the view of the glaciers. Explore the Kenai Peninsula where earthquakes and ocean storms are the architects.

Ice worms, bears and whales make their home in this land of constant change. Native Alutiiq used these resources to nurture a life intertwined with the sea. Head out on an amazing hike to the Exit Glacier and Harding Icefield. The Starting on the valley floor, the trail winds through cottonwood and alder forests, passes though heather-filled meadows and ultimately climbs well above tree line to a breathtaking view of the icefield.

The top of the trail is a window to past ice ages — a horizon of ice and snow that stretches as far as the eye can see, broken only by an occasional nunatak or lonely peak. There are various lookout points along the trail that serve as good turnaround points. Portions of the upper trail are covered by ice and snow part of the year. Easier, shorter hikes to the base of the glacier are also options that also afford beautiful views for those not looking for a strenuous hike. The Alaska SeaLife Center is the only public aquarium in the state and also functions as an ocean wildlife rescue center.

Follow a naturalist guide along the scenic western shoreline of the bay and marvel at the snow-covered mountains and hanging glaciers. Sea otters, sea lions, harbor seals, bald eagles, seabirds, and jumping salmon are often seen. Occasionally, whales are also spotted. During spawning season, if the tide is high it may be possible to paddle up the creek to see spawning salmon.

    About halfway into the trip, make a shoreline stop to enjoy hot drinks and lunch with time to stretch your legs and explore. You may be a seasoned pro at group travel by now, but there will likely be some new travellers joining the group.
